I Survived Balloonfest '86 T-Shirt
Features of Our Balloonfest Tees
Balloonfest was intended to be a shining moment for the city of Cleveland, and well... that's not what happened. But the good news is that you survived the misguided 1986 event, and now you can commemorate that with our new T-shirt.
The 1986 Balloonfest in Cleveland might end up going down as one of the most misguided PR stunts of all time, in which the local United Way chapter attempted to set a world record by releasing 1.5 million balloons into the air. Needless to say, it did not go well.
Aside from the obvious environmental implications, bad weather blew the balloons all over the surrounding area, causing numerous traffic issues and plenty of subsequent lawsuits.
